The year is 1628. Spanish forces continue to batter Dutch defenses in a war that seems interminable. As an assassin contracted by the Dutch government, your job is simple - kill the Count-Duke Olivares, the most powerful man in Spain and the primary voice against peace. But on the way, you'll have to contend with a foreign and hostile country, one that holds deadly enemies, powerful men, and constant suspicion. But there is also tremendous potential for discovery in a land teeming with secrets.

In this game, you can choose your own path to success. With a gratuitous amount of handcrafted flavor and an open-world structure, you are free to make of it what you wish.

INSTRUCTIONS:

If you own a Windows computer, download the Windows build provided. It runs very smoothly and is therefore preferable. Otherwise, a Web build is also available (top of page). Make sure to use fullscreen.

CREDITS:

Credits can be found in credits.txt. This game was made for the GMTK Gamejam 2026. Due to extreme time pressure near the end of the Jam, I was unable to document some image and SFX sources. If you want credit and were not given it, please just leave a comment on this page.

MUSIC:

Music for this game is a compilation of medieval Spanish religious hymns, known as the Cantigas de Santa Maria. Penned in Old Galician during the reign of Alfonso X, they make the game feel a bit more atmospheric.  The source on YouTube is available in Credits.txt.

i loved this game it's not something you can easily whip out in 96 hours, looking forward to seeing it turn into a full game!

Very creative considering the theme,  definitely like the events system and the lore sprinkled throughout, good replayability with the different endings, I maybe would have liked making the main objective (killing the Count) a little more difficult, 9/10

great balance of difficulty and enjoyment. 10/10
